About us

We're Empower Health Science Lab.

A student-led initiative turning big public-health and science ideas into playful, hands-on virtual labs for grades 6–8. We believe young people who understand the systems that shape health become the next generation of doctors, scientists, advocates, and community leaders.

Our story

We started Empower Health because we kept noticing the same gap: middle school science classes spend weeks on cells and rocks, but barely a day on the things that decide whether a kid grows up healthy — nutrition, mental health, the air in their home, the equity of their neighborhood. We're here to fill that gap.

Every lab in this collection was designed alongside students, teachers, and public-health mentors. We test each module with real classrooms before we publish it, so the games actually teach what they promise — and feel fun, not preachy.

What we stand for

Equity first

Free, forever. No ads, no paywalls, no upsells — for any student, anywhere.

Learn by doing

Simulations, role-play, and decisions — not slides. Mistakes are part of the science.

Care for community

Every lab ends with a personal action plan, because knowledge without action isn't enough.

For teachers

Each lab works as a 45–60 minute session with built-in reflection prompts, discussion questions, and badge milestones. Use them solo, in stations, or as homework.

For students

Create a free account to save your progress, earn badges, and track your community health score across every lab. Your progress follows you on any device.
